Evidence before adjectives
We record a brand when there is credible evidence that its website, app, marketing, payment flow or public discussion targets users in Zambia. Inclusion is not endorsement. A .co.zm domain, Zambian kwacha, mobile money or a local phone number can support market-presence fields but cannot by itself prove a current licence.
Verification labels
- Verified by regulator
- The licence and relevant domain are matched to an official regulator record.
- Operator-declared
- The operator publishes a local licence claim, but independent confirmation is still pending.
- Listed by public source
- A government, regulator, court, consumer authority or similarly accountable public source mentions the operator.
- Third-party evidence only
- Current information comes mainly from directories, rankings or other secondary sources.
- Conflicting evidence
- Available sources disagree about the company, licence number, domain or current status.
- Needs confirmation
- We have not found enough current evidence to describe the operator as locally authorised.
Source hierarchy
- Primary public sources: statutes, regulator or ministry records, public notices, court decisions and consumer authority publications.
- Operator sources: official website terms, licence footers, company pages, offer terms, support channels and payment information.
- Accountable secondary sources: established media, trade bodies and archived public records.
- Discovery sources: search results, affiliate directories, social posts and user reports. These identify leads but do not verify a licence.
Freshness
Bonuses are checked against current terms and dated explicitly. Licence evidence, domains, availability, products, payments and company details each retain their own source date. When evidence is stale, the page says so rather than silently presenting an old fact as current.
User ratings
The public score is the simple average of approved, current reviews. Pending, rejected, removed and superseded submissions do not count. A profile with no approved reviews shows a dash, never a false zero. Advertising and claimed-profile status never change ratings or default alphabetical ordering.
Corrections and right of reply
Anyone can report a factual error. Approved operator representatives may propose sourced updates and reply to user reports, but they cannot edit licence labels, delete criticism or change scores. Substantive editorial decisions are logged.
